I felt like slapping most of the characters in this book. Jennifer really annoyed me with her 'but I was such a perfect mother where did this go wrong' attitude. Emma could show a bit more appreciation and Mark easily hides behind the excuse that someone has to make some money to pay the bills. I was actually so angry that most of the story fell flat for me. The development in the story was predictable but the writing was good making it interesting enough to finish this book. And I guess wanting to slap characters means I did get emotionally involved though maybe not in the way the author hoped.
