Fred Coe was convicted for the rape of four woman. The Spokane police force claims he is responsible for a lot more rapes and indecent proposals smeared over three years. Coe always claimed he was innocent backed up by his family under the lead of his mother.

This book was originally released in 1984 but will be newly released with a special foreword.
It took me a whole week to read this book. Though with 600 pages it is a big one it was not the size that slowed me down. It was the story. Picking up Fred Coe in the end of 1978 when he is leaving his wife and starting a relationship with Gini. At this point there are other stories too that start and are combined with his name. It is said he is raping woman and the situations are written out in detail. The book is well written and the story is fluent but there are parts that make sure you do not forget it is a true crime book. Realizing these stories really happened to woman made that reading this stories brought me to a point that I did not want to read more misery for one day.
As said the book is well written. There are a lot of characters and voices. One is Fred himself. It was interesting to hear his voice and his idea about the situation. There was Gini's part. Being his girlfriend during the said period it was interesting. It is easy to say "how did you miss it?" but her part of the story shows how and is really important to hear. It showed how subtle his behaviour was.
Other voices are those of victims. There where a lot of them. Some angry some scared all making me feel uncomfortable
